I personally use the Bohning Pro Class jig to fletch my arrows. It fletches up to a 2° offset in right or straight helical, and will also fletch straight.
This jig is available with a right-helical clamp, left-helical clamp, and straight clamp, so make sure to purchase the jig set with your desired helical in mind.
The jig is easy to use and is very affordable. The body and clamp are constructed of heavy-duty plastic. It comes set up for a 3-vane configuration, but includes extra adapters for 4-vane configurations.
The clamp has a quick-set magnet design that locks vanes in place while they adhere. For the money, it’s one of the best fletching jigs for the average bowhunter/archer.

The Bitzenburger jig is trusted and used by professionals, such as John Dudley of Nock On Archery.
It’s made of high-quality, die-cast alloy and can fletch in many different vane configurations and at different vane angles. Pretty much anything you want to do with your vanes, the Bitzenburger can do.
You’re going to pay more for this jig, but you typically get what you pay for, and you get a lot with this jig. Definitely one of the best fletching jigs on the market.
It’s available with a right-helical clamp, left-helical clamp, and straight clamp, so make sure to purchase with your desired helical in mind.

This large-diameter jig comes with 5″ straight and offset arms to accommodate both short and long vanes.

What are vanes?
Vanes are synonymous with fletching when used as a noun to describe the “wings” glued to the rear of your arrow. They’re located near the nocking point.
Depending on where you are in the world, you may hear one term used more often than the other. In the U.S., you’ll typically hear the term vane used more often.
Vanes spin your arrow in flight, helping to “spin out” issues related to the arrow or bow setup.
How many vanes should I fletch?
There is no vane configuration that is right for every archer. The right answer is completely dependent on the bow/arrow setup, which varies from person to person.
Typically, pre-fletched arrows come set up in a 3-vane, 2° offset configuration because it’s a good starting point for most bows. So, you can’t really go wrong with sticking with that. However, experimentation is key to finding what works best for your setup.
In trying out different configurations, you may find that your arrows group the best with a 4-vane, 3° right-helical where the vanes are placed 1.5″ from your nock.
Research goes a long way, but field-testing is where the rubber meets the road.
What's the difference between offset and helical?
Offset and helical aren’t always used interchangeably, but they mean virtually the same thing. Typically, offset is used when referring to a vane that wraps around the shaft at 2° or less, while helical is used for 3° and greater.
So, an offset is just a slight helical.
How does offset/helical affect arrow flight?
Offset/helical is what spins the arrow as it flies through the air. The greater the degree of offset/helical, the faster an arrow is able to spin in flight.
If an arrow’s vanes are fletched straight, which some archers prefer, and the arrow is not tuned just right, any inconsistencies will be very evident in the flight of the arrow.
When offset/helical is added to the vanes, the arrow spins, causing those inconsistencies to decrease. But as with most things, there is a point of diminishing returns, where adding more helical stops helping.
Having the ability to experiment with helical is the only way to really find what works best for your setup. The best fletching jigs give you that option.

It takes time to fletch an arrow, but a great jig allows you to easily fletch vanes in your desired configuration, quickly and accurately.

If you never want to add more than 3 vanes to your arrows, you shouldn’t spend more to purchase a jig that allows for it.
